    THE MUGHAL EMPIRE (Imperialism)

    Empire that was run by a dynasty. It was a successful Muslim Empire and the architecture of the buildings that were made in that time period linked in to what we do today.
  • THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION (Industrial Rev)

    The time when everything industrialized. It was the rise of factories. In this time period, people figured out how to make things faster with machines instead of by hand. There were terrible living conditions in the cities during this time.
  • THE FORMATION OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (French Rev)

    The National Assembly was a very large group of people from the 3rd estate. The people of the burgoisie and the peasants wanted change and more rights for their estate. The wanted chnge to be based off of Enlightenment ideas. The National Assembly took the Tennis Court Oath.
  • TENNIS COURT OATH (French Rev)

    The oath that the National Assembly took. It basically means that the National Assembly wont stop asking and trying for change until they get change that will change their lives positively.
  • REIGN OF TERROR (French Rev)

    After Louis XVI was killed, Miximillian Robespierre was put into power. His Committee of Public Safety wasnt very safe. Robespierre was executing people by guillotine for very little things. Everyone was scared that they woulod be killed next.
  • THE WAR OF KNIVES (Haitian Rev)

    The war between Toissant Louverture and his ex-partner Riguard. The war broke out because both of them wanted to run Saint Domingue the way they wanted to, and they didnt agree on a lot of things.
  • THE RISE OF NAPOLEON (French Rev)

    Napoleon Bonaparte, a very talented solier, performed a coup d'etat and became leader of France. With him as ruler, France had an unstoppable army. They couldnt be defeated.
  • PENINSULAN WAR (French Rev)

    One of Napoleons famous mistakes. France wanted to attack Portugal. In order to do that, Napoleons army would have to go through Spain, and Spain didnt want them to do that, so France declared war on Spain.
  • THE CONGRESS OF VIENNA (French Rev)

    People from all different countries around Europe met in Vienna to discuss how they can lower the powers of France before something really bad happens. They decided to throw Napoleon out of power, which seemed to be the best idea at the time.
  • THE OPIUM WAR (Imperialism)

    A war between Great Britian and China. Britian has been secretly smuggling the drug opium into China, which made China angry, so China declared war on Britain which they soon lost badly.
  • THE SIGNING OF THE TREATY OF NANJING (Imperialism)

    The treaty signed my China and Britian ending the Opium war. It stated that Britian can legally bring opium into China.
  • THE SIGNING OF THE TREATY OF KANAGAWA (Imperialism)

    A treaty that let everyone in Europe who wanted to trade with Japan trade with Japan. It also protected the trading rights with the U.S so if anything happens, there would be consequences. It also led to extraterritorial rights for foreigners.
  • THE SEPOY MUTINY (Imperialism)

    The time when the rumor spread to the Muslims and the Hindus that the rifle cartriges were made out of beef and pork, which are sacred meats to their religions. They refused to fight until that was changed.
  • THE BERLIN CONFERENCE (Imperialism)

    People from all of the countries of Europe met to see how Africa would be divided up for all of the European countries.
  • THE BOXER REBELLION (Imperialism)

    It was a very violent anti-Christian movement that took place in China
