  • Mughal Empire

    Mughal Empire
    This was an Empire that ruled over large parts of India, and was made up of Muslims. This Empire was ruled by the Mughal Dynasty, which was what it was named after. The Emipre was a total power house during their reign over india, and had a very strong, centralized government over all the countrys they took over. It began in 1526, and lasted until 1707.
  • Industrial Revolution

    Industrial Revolution
    This was a time period of change, in the ways of agriculture, and the manufacturing of goods. These changes were to make these processes more efficient, so that more could be made in a certain time period, thus making more money. The use of child labor was significant during this time period, and the working conditions were horriblem and the pay was also very bad.

    This was when the people oof the third estate came together during the French Revolution, after being locked out of the Estates General meeting, they had met inside a tennis court. This oath stated that they would not stop meeting until they had made a constitution.

    This was when the slaves in Santo Domingo revolted against the French, in order to get back their land. They were lead by Toussaint Louverture, and his general Jean-Jacques Dessalines, who betrayed him, and lead the slaves to victory against the French.

    This was the time period when Robespierre would arrest, and execute any of the enemies of the revolution, using the guillotine during the French Revolution. Rebespierre did this because he feared the amount of people that were conspiring against the revolution.

    This was a civil war between Louverture, and Andre Riguad, over who would lead Haiti. It only lasted about a year, and it took place in Haiti. They eentually came to a compromise, which gave them both what they wanted.

    This was when France, who was lead by Napoloeon went against the allied forces of Spain, Portugal, and British, he got involved in this war because of the continental system. The war took place on the iberian peninsula, and was part of the Napoleonic wars. Napoleon had lost.

    This was when the people of Europe came together to sort out their problems. They decided to put legitimacy into place, which was returning the previous monarchs to power, who Napoleon overthrew. They returned the land Napoleon had taken over, and had madde a system of alliances to balance the power in Europe.

    The Opium war was between China and Britian. This war occerued because Britian was illeagally bringing oium into China. China told them to stop, but they refused, thus starting the war between the countries. The war lasted three years, and was won by the British, and lead to the signing of the Treaty of Nanjing.

    This was a Treaty that was signed by China to end the Opium war. China had lost the war, which forced them to sign this treaty. The treaty gave Britian hong Kong, and began opening up trading ports in China to everyone.

    This was a meeting where European nations came together to decide how Africa would get colonized. No African nations were preseant at this conference.

    This was a treaty between the US, and Japan that opened two Japenese trading ports to US ships, and also allowed the US to open an embassy in Japan.
  • Sepoy Mutiny

    Sepoy Mutiny
    This was when the British would force the Sepoys to bite off the cartridges that were covered in pork, and beef. This was against the Sepoy's religious beliefs. If the sepoys refused, they would have been arrested. This lead to the revolt lead by the Sepoys against the British.
  • Maiji Era

    Maiji Era
    This was a time period in Japanese history when they were being rules by Emperor Mutsuhito. It lasted until 1912. This was a time period of great advancements made in Japan, Japan modernizes during thi time period. They created a bueureacracy government, made the education system better, and strengthened their military and navy.

    Industrial Revolution- Boxer Rebellion
    This was an uprising of Chinese peasants that thrived to get rid of the foreign influences in China. They rebelled against the Qing Dynasty, and their efforts had failed. The rebellion did not actually work as planned.
