    The start of new manufactoring processes.
  • French Revolution

    A period of radical social and poliical upheavel in France. It affected modern History in France, such as declining monarchys and suppression of the fuedal system.
  • Formation of The National Assembly

    In 1789, members of the Third Estate formed a group and called themselves The National Assembly.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    An oath pleged by over 500 members of the Third Estate in a Tennis Court when they found that they had been locked out of their Meeting Hall.
  • Haitian Revolution

    A slave revolt in Saint-Domingue (a French Colony), which was to try and eliminate slavery there.
  • Boukman Revolt

    A revolt led by Dutty Boukman during the Haitian Revolution.
  • Reign of Terror

    A period of violence inflicted after the French Revolution because of rival political factions.
  • War of Knives

    A conflict between Toussaint L'Ouverture and Andre Rigaud after the Haitian Revolution.

    A military battle between the allied powers of Spain The U.K, and Portugal against France over control of the Iberian Peninsula.

    A conference between ambassadors from European states to provide long term peace for Europe.

    A war caused against Britian and China over the trade of Opium in China.
  • Signing of The Treaty of Nanjing

    When British representative Sir Henry Pottinger and Qing representatives, Qiying, Yilibu, and Niujian, signed The Treaty of Nanjing.
  • Berlin Conference

    A conference that had to do with European colonization and trade in Africa.
  • Boxer Rebellion

    A violent rebellion which took place in China, because of freign residents, influence, and religion.
