    Charlemagne was not a monk but he did more than any other monk . He was also called Charles the Great. He was declared emperor of the Romans in 800 AD.

    Joan of Arc was thirteen when she started hearing voices that were telling her to fight against the English. When she was seventeen, Joan of Arc went to the King and asked if she could fight. During Joan of Arc's first battle, the English retreated. During the second battle, she was captured and killed at the stake. She died 1431
