I was born in Michigan. I was born at 11:59 pm on a cold windy day. It was the beginning of my life. I was the first granddaughter born in both sides of my family.
  • First time to Niagra Falls

    First time to Niagra Falls
My families first vacation with me was is 2002. My parents were afraid to travel when I was little because I was there first child and if anything ever happend to me they would beat themselves over it. After the first vacation there was lots after they knew I could handle it.
  • Michael joinning my world

    Michael joinning my world
When my little brother joinned my perfect little world things went downward. That year a lot of big things changed. My parents were always consumed with my little brother. It had a big effect on me when I wasn't the center of attention anymore.
  • The last time I saw my grandmother

The last time I saw my grandmother
In 2003 I lost my abuelita. She was a amazing woman and a mother to 13. She had a huge heart and loved kids. She had three of her own kids and then was diagonosed with brain cancer. They told her that after one surgry she would be fine. And, she was for a few years. She passed very suddenly. It had a huge effect on all my mothers side of the family. Not many people have time or energy to care for so many kids. They all were effected deeply by her death.
  • First day of Pre-school

    First day of Pre-school
When I started pre-school I didn't understand much. In my family we only spoke spanish. When I had to start school I was very behind, I needed to relean everything because I only knew it in Spanish. It was difficult for me because I was very stubborn and insisted that they just learn spanish.
  • Moving to Holly

    Moving to Holly
In 2005 I moved to Holly from Woodhaven. Everything changed that year. we went from living in a small house to living in a house I called a mansion in my eyes. When we moved things got harder, In Holly there was even less hispanics and less help with the language department.
  • Going to Disney for the 1st time

Going to Disney for the 1st time
The first time I ever went to Disney was when I was 8. I was a huge Disney fan and when my parents told me we were going to Disney I was extremly happy. It was a big deal to me that I met all my "idols".
  • Getting Sick

    Getting Sick
In 2010 I got diagnosed with a type of brain tumor. I got headaches so strong that I would pass out or start shaking from the pain. I didn't like complaining ,I went almost a month without telling people about the headaches I was having. I spent almost 3 months in the hospital. I became friends with the nurses and even still have them as friends on Facebook. Those months really affected me, I learned how to teach myself best and how to be myself.
  • My other grandmother being diagnosed with cancer

My other grandmother being diagnosed with cancer
When my grandmother from my dad's side of the family was diagnosed with cancer it had a huge affect on me. Since I didn't get to have my much time with my last grandmother, it was really important to me that I had as much time as I could with her. She was diagnosed with lung cancer. Ever since we found out the news we try very hard to spend as much time as we can with her.
  • Traveling by myself for the 1st time

Traveling by myself for the 1st time
Traveling has always been a huge part of my life, espcially since most of my family is over a 1000 miles away. My first time traveling alone I went to Texas to vist my aunt Gloria who just had twins. My parents couldn't go because they had prior events planned and I didn't want to stay so I went on a plane to Huston, Texas. When I got off the plan I felt so adultish like. My parent trusting to fly across the U.S was a big deal for me it made my confidence in myself go up a lot.
  • Starting Middle school

    Starting Middle school
At Holly Academy it is a k-8 school. When we all moved up to the middle school we were all excited. We were finally able to have more freedom. In 5th grade you travelled to all your classes as a group but in middle school you had your own schedule. I really did love my first year of middle school.
  • Getting my first dog

    Getting my first dog
We had never had a dog before but when I decided that I wanted a dog for my 14th birthday my whole family was in for a surprise. It took about a month to find a dog we all liked. His name was Jack and he was a mixed germin shepperd and something else. We all thought we were reasposible enough for a dog but after 3 months we had it. we had to give him to my aunt. I was devistated, he did help me become more resposible.
  • Mi Quinceanera

    Mi Quinceanera
Growing up in a hispanic home I was raised around the idea that once I was 15 I was finally a woman. I could put on make-up, have a boyfriend, have a job and ect. I remember dreaming of the day I would turn 15. When I did turn 15 I was very excited to finally do things that my friend had be doing for years. Turning 15 was a huge milestone in my life, I'm now an "adult" in my families eyes but that just means I can babysit there kids to them, and i'm ok with that as long as I get payed.
  • Finishing Holly Academy

    Finishing Holly Academy
When the last day of 8th grade came I was in tears, that school had been my life for 9 years. Probably the worse part was realizing that most of my best friends were going to different schools than me for high school. At Holly academy on the last day of school they would make aline of every kid that attends that school, 8th graders graduating that year would go through the line and have a clap out, saying goodbye to all the past teachers and kids. I was always in the line now I was going down it.
