    The Battle of Tours Ends
    On the 10th of October 732 The Battle of Tours ended. This started because a muslim army invaded western Europe. This is one of the great battles in history. It is significant because it shows how people were prejudice against other religions and the great extents they took to show that their religion was the "right" religion.

    After King Edward of England died in 1066 AD, there was a rivalry between Harold Godwinson and William the bastard. This started because they both claimed that they were promised the throne. After intense battles Willam won and was crowned king. William then gained the title William the conquer. This is significant because any change in power can change the way a whole country works.

    The 100 years war was a series of of battles between England and France from 1337 and 1453. During that time period the English developed the longbow. It actually lasted for 116 years. This is significant because it led to some new technology and weaopns to be created also there were a lot of lives that were lost.

    This marks the end of the Roman empire when a great siege lasted from the 6th of April 1453 AD tho the 29th of May 1453 AD. Rome lost the battle, due to having limited forces left after the 100 years war and so ended the medievil period. This is important because it explains how the time period ended.

    In the year 481 Clovis succeeded his father as the Frankish king. Clovis converted to Catholicism and was very religious. He was so religious that he didn't have kids. This is important because it marks the begining of the Medieval period.

    In 793 AD Vikings began to raid parts of Europe. The Vikings had the element of suprise on their side so the targeted villages/ kingdoms didn't know when they were going to arrive. This is important because it shows what struggles people faced in those times and how the Vikings tie in with Medieval Europe.
