Gwen Is Born!
It was a warm autumn day when I was born, or so I was told. I was the second girl and child in the family, just a couple years younger than my sister. My parents only decided to name me Gwen when they saw me because they had to know if that name would fit right. I was born in Scarborough General Hospital and I was in distress with increased heart rate.This is the day my long journey of life began. I was about 9 pounds, but I never cried as a child. -
Gwen's First Christmas!
On my first christmas, I was very excited and I was ripping up all the wrapping paper of every present. I had never expirenced this holiday and was overwhelmed by the amount of gifts my sister and I recieved! I spent that Christmas opening and playing with my toys and eating dinner with my family. This is important and memorable to me because it is a milestone in my life as it was my very first Christmas. -
Baby Brother Arrives!
When my brother was born, I was 3 years old, but not clueless. I knew that I was stuck with William even if I like it or not. He is the youngest in the family and is a mommy's boy. He can be annoying, but he is a significant part of my life. He has affected me in both negative and postive ways. He was born in Mississauga Credit Valley Hospital and was 8 pounds. -
Very First Day of School
On my first day of Kindergarten, I was excited yet nervous. I was finally going to expirence what my sister had been doing for the past four years!The school I went to was Churchill Meadows Public School. I was in afternoon kindergarten and enjoyed sleeping in. This milesotone in my life is signifigant to me because it was the first day of my education which was something I knew ,in the back of my head, was very important and would pave the way for the rest of my life. My teacher was Mrs.Dixon. -
Walt Disney Vacation
During March Break, my family and I went to Walt Disney</a> World </a>in Orlando. Every child dreams of having that magical expirence of going on all these rides and attractions in the park. I even got to go through the large castle which is Walt Disney's logo! This event in my life is significant because not only was this my first vacation, but this park is the most famous in North America! I went for two weeks and I still remeber specific events that made my vacation so memorable. -
Moving Day!
On this day, I had moved to a much bigger house and I also switched schools from Churchill Meadows to McKinnon Public School. I was excited to start fresh in a new school and I adored the fact that I now had my own room! We bought this house from Cachet Builders and it was incredibly expensive! I am currently still living in this house and it holds many memories. This is significant to me because it changed who I met, the awards and grades I got and many other things. -
C.C.A.T Scores
C.C.A.T is a test that happens over the course of about five days (in grade four) and it determines whether you're gifted or not. It is all multilple choice and you only have a limited amount of time to finish. Even under all the pressure, I found out that I still scored very high, but not enough to be gifted. This is one of my achievments that I am quite proud of. -
Birth of God Father's Daughter
My God Father's wife gave birth to a little baby girl that they named Savannah. She is completly adorable and Savannah is like a sister to me. I visit her often and I love to play with her. Savannah was later baptised and I attended that ceremony. She is definetly important to me. My family and theirs are very close as my mom has been best friends with my God fathers mom as long as thirty years. -
Grade 5 Graduation
On this day, I graduated from Elemantary school and also recieved the Principal's Award. There was a very long assembly reconizing every student and then a couple students gave mini-speeches on our school's character atributes. After, the Principal called me to the front and I was given a wooden plaque with my name engraved. This was a milestone is my life because not only did I graduate from Elementary school, I recieved an award. -
Dad Goes on Strike
My dad went on strike for a number of months because of his union. He works at a Nuclear job as a mechanical engineer. The company had just changed ownership from the government to private and they were still settling the contract. The union and the company couldn't agree on many things such as pension, so my dad had to go on strike without pay for many months. This had a great affect on our family financially. -
Washington/ Virginia Beach Vacation
My family and I travelled by car to Washington D.C and Virginia Beach. We went to many monuments and even Ford's Theatre! After, we spent about a week in Virginia Beach. We stayed in the amazing Belvedere Hotel. During the day, we went to the beach and the pool and at night we would walk on the board walk and downtown. I enjoyed the vacation very much and we might not have gone because my dad was on strike. -
Grade 7 Starts!
On the first day of grade 7, I was excited for the new year. I knew it was a fresh start and new expirences. I really hope this year will be as great as the last!
