Map of Pakistan As a family of four, we moved from Pakistan to Canada. It was the toughest time for my family because they were born and raised there. I was just one years old, i started my life in Canada, where i fully adapted to the environment. This was an important part of my life because we moved from a total different country.
  • First Day of School

    First Day of School
This was my first day of kindergarten. I was pensive when i had to be away from my mom for so many hours. I was shy, nervous and cried my heart out. I didnt want to leave home without my mom. My first school was Havenwood Public School. This shaped me as a person because i couldnt refuse to go to school forever. So, i got rid of the devastating feeling and faced my fear. It wasnt as bad as i thought!
  • Moved From Apartment to House

    Moved From Apartment to House
We have been living in an apartment for almost five years so saying goodbye to it was not only saying goodbye to our home, but to our school and close friends. We bought a house far from it so we barely get time to visit our friends back in the apartment. But from this whole experience, i learned, that you should always be optimistic about everything and look on the positive side. I got a fresh start in a new house where i could have my own room, a new neighbourhood and a different environment.

    Biggest Road Trip
    Map of North America
In one month, me and my family travelled 15000 KM.
The summer of 2009 was by far the best summer ever!
We drove from Mississauga to P.E.I, back home, then from Mississauga to California- to stay with our cousins, visiting a total of 6 Canadian provinces and 15 U.S states. This was a crazy road trip but so much fun! It was so entertaining and it will always be remembered.
  • Cancer In The Family

    Cancer In The Family
In my mothers side of the family, four relatives have been diagnosed with cancer, three women and one man. So far, one women who was very close to me, my mom's brothers wife died. It iwas really hard to face that fact. We loved eachother so much and to know that cancer runs in the family, kills. I learned that you should enjoy every second of your life and not waste time on useless things. Live while you can because you dont know what can happen next.
  • Brother Was Born

    Brother Was Born
My mom gave birth to my brother on May 12, around 10:00 a.m. I was so excited to see him. I would've missed school but today was also my Public Speaking Competition. After school, me and my sister went to Credit Valley Hospital to see our new brother! I was so joyful when i saw him, he was very pale and adorable! This event changed our life a lot. We werent used to all this baby drama, we had to look after him 24/7. I was used to being the youngest in the family but now my brother is.
  • Got My First Rollerblades

    Got My First Rollerblades
I have always had the fear of rollerblading, my sister was an excellent rollerblader and she inspired me to learn as well. I would use her blades sometimes but i just couldnt face it. I was too scared. My parents wanted me to face that fear and deep down inside i wanted to get up and try. I got my very first rollerblades, knee and elbow pads last summer. After the support, help and constant practice, i believed in myself. I raced my sister and i won!
  • First Day of Middle School

    First Day of Middle School
RTMS Graduating and leaving my old school, Mckinnon Public School was very hard for me. It was very different there and i was really nervous for the first day of Grade 6, in a different school. I became more mature than i used to be and i learned life lessons. Middle school is just another step along the way of education.
  • Got Hit By A Car

    Got Hit By A Car
After school on May 16, i had a terrible accident. I got hit by a car. There is a really long story for that but to recap, i was running from our car into a doctors office and before i could make it, i was thrown to the ground by a car. I was taken to the hospital and everything, the story continues. But this incident really made me strong mentally and physically. It taught me that death can approach you anytime. I go by the quote "Live as though you'll die tomorrow.."
