  • 2.4- APGAR

When evaluating Nicolai's APGAR for the first test, I would assume a rank of 2 for respiratory, muscle, reflex, and color. I do not know wat his heart rate was, but due to his color and volume of cries I would assume his heart rate was over 100 earning him a ranking of 2. After ten minutes, I see no changes so I would still give the same rating.

  • 7.2- Exosystem

    7.2- Exosystem
My mother grew up helping with the chores, while her brother did not. When it came time for my sister and I to help with chores, my mother split the chores equally so as not to make it feel like we were being treated unfairly.

  • 2.1- Passive Gene Environment Correlation

    2.1- Passive Gene Environment Correlation
Mother played piano, provided an environment for music appreciation and to pass along the talent of playing the piano to her daughters.
  • 4.1- Memory

One of my earliest memories is of playing with plastic dinosaurs when I was in preschool. I think this fits in with the idea that until a child learns to verbalize their thoughts, they are stored in a different form. By the time I was playing with those toys, I was talking and reading, so I was able to store my thoughts using verbal cues.
  • 8.2- School Transitions

    8.2- School Transitions
When I started at Ohlone Elementary, I brought some entry level skills, such as reading. I was quite a proficient reader, thanks to my sister teaching me. However, I was also greatly lacking in entry-level social skills, and it took me over a year to make friends.
  • 8.1- Children and Television

My family would watch Pride and Prejudice, and since I was very young the plot was too complicated for me. I would have been unable to grasp the explicit content of the plot. In fact I know it was years before I even knew what that movie was about.
  • 1.3 Methods

A study with 5 year olds should be conducted so as not to intimidate them. Using a younger researcher would be good, or using puppets to communicate. Ensuring that the test questions are not going to confusing the children is also important. Also asking the same question using differnet wording could help weed out inconsistenties in answers.
  • 6.2- Self control

As a child I had very little self control when it came to candy and other sweets. While I was limited in the amount of Halloween candy I could keep, and how much I could eat per day, I would always hit that max. My sister was much more controlled than I was and would still have all her candy months later.

  • 3.2 Concrete Magnetism

    3.2 Concrete Magnetism
At this stage, and explaination can be given that there is a force called "magnetism" that, like gravity pulls stuff together. However magnetism will only work for magnetized objects which are made of certian metals. The magetic force creates a north and south pole, which will attract an opposire pole and repel the same pole.
  • 7.3- Crowds and Cliques

    7.3- Crowds and Cliques
In high school I was part of a group of kids who loved Japanese anime. We would be considered a clique focused on watching anime and drawing pictures. The larger crowd we would have been part of would be a "geek" crowd, of people who like anime, science fiction, and fantasy.

Due to job stresses requiring both my parents to work longer hours, and my sister being away at college, I found myself needing to provide my own meals. Having eaten ramen for the first year of high school, I found it necessary to explore and diversify meals on my own. I have become quite proficient in cooking since then.
  • 3.3- Personal Fable

    3.3- Personal Fable
I was very idealistic in high school. I would have to say that my personal fable was me going to college as a physics major, graduating, getting a PhD and becoming a researcher at SLAC or perhaps CERN or even KEK in Japan. This is formal operational becaue I was able to think far ahead and plan for a future, I was also very idealistic in my thoughts and believed that I could do anything as an unstoppable force, much like most teenagers.
