    Mao Zedong was born on December 26, 1893 in Shaoshon, China to Mao Yichang and Wen Qimei. His Father was a Chinese rice farmer and merchant. He was known as the Master of Abacus. His mother Wen married Yichang at the age of 17 when he was 14. She had 2 miscarriages. Wen was concerned for his health and went to nuns take care of him but they refused because he appeared perfectly healthy. Mao Zedong then grew up in a privileged and spoiled life.     In 1934, the KMT leader Chiang Kai-Shek attacks the Communists. 87,000 soliders retreat to Hunan from Jiangxi. By 1939 Mao gains control of the Red Armys Retreat. 6,000 miles were marched in extreme weather. Less then 10,000 men survived. Source (Fritz 6)

    In 1950 Zedong tried to negotiate with Dalai Lama but it was denied. He claimed that that Tibet had been poisoned by Religion.     In 1966 Mao wanted to change China back to communism. He thought that younger educated people were supporters of the old ways. Zedong created something named the Red Guard. Members of the the guard wore uniforms known as khaki. He told them "to rebel is justified" and to knock down the old; the old being The nationalist party.     Mao Zedong Died on September 9, 1976 in Beijing, China. Mao's last greatest public success was his meting with Nixon to create a closer relation ship to the United States. Mao started to make less public appearances. He had sufferd effects of Parkinson's. When he died he still held the Position of chairman of the communist party of China.

This would be know as the Battle of the Sexes. This was huge to prove that woman are more than what the average male at the time would think of them. King ended up beating Riggs.
