Abel Tasman was a European explorer and he was famous for founding Tasmania and he was also the first person to sight the bay in 1642. Him and his crew were exploring the lower parts of Tasmania when they came across the bay just a couple kilometres east from Bruny Island.

In 1803 the Napoleonic war started just after the end of the French Revolution that ended in 1799. The Napoleonic Wars were a series of conflicts fought between France under the leadership of Napoleon Bonaparte and a number of European nations. The series of wars ended in 1815 when the Napoleon was defeated in Waterloo and on July 15 he surrendered to the British at Rochefort, he then was exiled to remote Saint Helena. The Treaty of Paris, signed on 20 November 1815, formally ended the war.

Ned Kelly was an Australian Bush Ranger living in Australia, Victoria. Ned Kelly was know both as a hero and a villain to many people.
Ned was always on the run from the cops and stringy bark creek shootout was his last run.
The infamous shootout between police and the Kelly Gang took place at Stringybark Creek on 26 October 1878. -
On the second of November 1899, the Boxer Rebellion started. The uprising Rebellion started because the Europeans took advantage of China using all their resources and food so they Chinese put together an army thus the Boxer Rebellion. The Boxer Rebellion was an uprising against foreigners that began in China in 1899 by a force of peasants but was eventually supported by the government. Chinese secret society known as the Boxers embarked on a violent campaign to drive all foreigners from China.
