As far back as I can remember I wanted to be a nurse!
-
My aunt Patti lived with us when I was young. She was my favorite person and she was a nurse! I wanted to be just like her when I grew up! 42 years later she was at my pinning ceremony
-
USU Aggie!
-
Todd is such a great guy! He supported my desire to become a nurse.
-
I was so young and educational plans were temporarily placed on hold
-
Even 30 years ago nursing programs were challenging to get accepted into. I didn't get in the 1st time I applied so I went into business.
-
2 children, 14 months apart. I still continued my college education
-
3 kids under 4. Nursing and business plans temporarily on hold, again

This little girl arrived almost 3 weeks late! So much anxiety because I was supposed to be with my daughter in the delivery room and nursing school was starting. Brookie was born 1 day before the start of classes, phew!
-
Excited but terrified at the same time!
-
Best day with the best class mates EVER!

Still a "greenie" on the med-surg/tele floor at my first nursing job and was awarded nurse of the month. Such validation for working so hard and most of the time not getting recognized.
-
Fallbrook Hospital shut down. I continued on in my nursing journey by taking a position at Loma Linda Murrieta on the Oncology Floor
-
I've always loved the philosophy of treating the "entire person" and not just the disease. TCIM's medical providers utilize multiple modalities in the medical care offered at their facility.
-
Went part time at Loma Linda and full time at TCIM. I am in charge of the IV department, hiring RN's, and ordering all supplies
-
Todd lost his job and was never able to go back to work again due to complications from poor management of type 1 diabetes. Our financial future was now on my shoulders, but I didn't want to write any more papers!
-
Offered position of RN clinical supervisor. I run the IV department and lead a team of 8 RN's and 7 MA's
-
My dad was my biggest fan. He loved unconditionally and let me know how proud he was of me. At this same time I almost lost my husband of almost 33 years. I knew that I needed to make myself more marketable in my field of nursing.
-
Tal twisted my arm and wouldn't let go so here I am :) I've thought about going back to school multiple times over the past 10 years. I'd actually get sick to my stomach thinking about writing papers so I would put that thought out of my head. I just needed a little extra push and an amazing new University to continue on with my educational journey. Thank you Tal!
-
I continue to run the IV department at TCIM and have hired the most amazing nurses. Our RN team is phenomenal!
-
If my health and stamina hold out I would love to volunteer my time and nursing skills to those in underdeveloped countries
-
Best candidate ever! APA will now stay the same forever!
