Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt: Convinced Teacher to Change Schedule
I didn't want to go to recess before lunch so I convinced my preschool teacher to switch the schedule; this definitely contributed to my feeling of independence. -

Failed preschool because I wouldn't share with others, probably caused some shame. -

Had to have my mom walk me around my classes the whole day, definitely did not feel independent. -

Helped me feel competent because I was in the 'gifted' program. -

When reflecting, I'd feel satisfaction with my successful career. -
