    Marriage of Mother & Step-Father
My mom and step-dad getting married was a big event in my life. I had an absentee birth father who disappeared shortly after this, leaving me with a lot of questions. My step-dad and I did not always get a long, but his introduction into my life was incredibly important as he taught me basic ideas of right from wrong, charity, how to be a good person and discipline. First Play, First Acting Role
This was my first introduction to theater, which seemed to be in my blood. My birth father and mother met in Central Texas, both involved in a community theater production. This would be my first taste of what would eventually become a dominant force in my life.
  • Adoption - Legally a Boyer

    Adoption - Legally a Boyer
In May of 1995, my sted-dad adopted my sister and me. This was a huge moment because we officially became Boyer's in more than just name. This formed a big idea about the lengths you went through for the people you loved. We weren't always the most affectionate family, but the family always did right by each other.

    State One Act Play Meet
My first One Act Play made the State Meet at the beginning of May in 1998. This was an amazing experience that taught me that hard work paid off and set an idea of how everyone should sacrifice for the show. I moved from an Alternate, to a cast member and ultimately to Sound Tech. Placing 3rd in the contest, it created a high bar for all One Act Play competition.
