Birth
I was born in Naples Florida at NCH (Naples Community Hospital) I was planned to be a vaginal birth until it was found that not only did my mother have cervical cancer but also The umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck so they had to do an emergency c-section. I know that I was a premature baby,I dont have record of my weight. I do know that I was in the NICU ,when they did the Apgar scale my face was blue and I had a low heartbeat,probably from my mothers prenatal terotogens(drug addiction) -
Major Move
We moved at start of my "second" Kindergarten year because Of my moms mental and physical abuse. Were running away from social services,at the time I had no idea. Event though I was a young child i externalized my problems and thrashed out because I didnt understand why all of this was hapening! -
Living in New Jersey
When I moved in Kindergarten it was to Patterson ,NJ! While here I was around 8 years old when I can rememner my mom getting worse again. I was a non reported maltreated child. My mother neglected me and abused me for no reason and becasue we moved when it was reported previously, I was told to never tell anyone about her abuse again! I had a teacher who took care of me at school and feed me when I was hungry and hugged me when I needed love! She helped lessen the feelings of neglect in my life. -
Move with sister
When I was 12 my dad passed away and I was forced to live with my sister because my mom was not fit for me at this time I was back in Florida and The court ordered that I was to be put into therapy and a dance class to help me cope! This was the first major traumatic event and grieving proceess at a very young age! I went through the denial stage for awhile and from his death on started having depression and was diagnosed with PTSD. -
First Love
I had my first real Love that made me feel on top of the world for 3 years his name is Tom Mulry and he was there through many many moves to different houses, I had this personal fable that My boyfriend was better than anyone else in the world and this was the first picture I drew for our relationship! I didnt think anyone could underastand the bond we had because it was unlike anyone elses in the history of relationships! -
Highschool Moving again!
I was going through tough times I was kicked out of my sisters house and lived with anyone who would take me in and the depression and anxiety was correlated with my extreme weight loss and it was thought that I was starving myself (anorexic) I just didnt ever feel like eating and this was some of my skinniest days! I was very good and faking happiness since I was very extroverted and outgoing! I fooled many people until my attempt of suicide and was bakeracted to this program. -
Bestfriend/faith
This is my bestfriend Kimmie ( the redhead), I met her freshman year of highschool and started going to youth group but it wasnt until junior year that I went to Sunday church and became a Christian. My bilogical family did not approve , this is where I reached my religous identity and truly made a name for myself apart from my biological family! Kimmie and I are still bestfriends and I still say God put her in my life to lead me to him and my new life! -
Graduation
graduated in May from Naples,Highschool and during this year I continued going to church and worked a part time job through all of highschool. I was very independent and upon graduating I realized I was on my own and had to be an adult while basically still being a child. I tried to find a new home because I was on the move again and ended up in another sucky situation that lead me to the family I have now ! -
New Family !
I finally had my new family that I have now and This family took me in they didnt legally adopt me but they supported me and they had the parenting style of permissive. They had rules but they are very liquid and as long as we (the children) Keep in touch they let us do what ever within reason! We are an adoptive family with 2 parents that have 2 bilogical children , Younger sister (Kyra ,20) older brother(Jake,23) who just got married last year to his wife maggie and me as the addition later) -
Today at TNU
Today I am socially a Junior but academically a senior and I have pretty great friends that keep me in check ! My friends are awesome motivators and they help me to be going! They are a very posititive influence in my life :)I am also the first in my biological family to go to college! This is a great accomplishment because I didnt not follow the (negative) family trend in being uneducated and addicted to sunbstances. I cant wait to see where God leads me in this wonderful journey !
