Eli Whitney was an inventor. He invented the cotton gin. It kept slavery going for much longer than expected. He was the first to patton it but farmers would make there own cotton gin. If he did not invent this slavery would of most likely end much earlyier. -
Textile mills
The textile mills were some ware for kids to go. There parents would send them therer. they would get paid and send the money back home. The parents also thought that it would be good for there kids. They would have to work 12 hour days but they did get a meal every day and a place to sleep.
