    My First Dog: Balto
    I gained a sense of responsibility with my first dog Balto. Through teaching him tricks and feeding him daily I was able to learn to love animals as I do humans. Balto showed me how to be responsible and how to have fun at the same time.

    Fighting with Drew
    Drew and I fought about everything growing up. One day when I was four I distinctly remember having enough of his torture and I clawed him with my nails. Drew respected me a little more after this incident and stopped picking on me as much. We have grown closer and closer over the years and I am proud to say he is the closest person to me.

    When I was blessed with three little sisters I beceme much more responsible. Through watching them grow up and helping them I have learned many lessons about being an adult.

    Mom teaches me a valuable lesson
    Watching my mom struggle helped me to see I should not rely on anyone for my future. Seeing her return to school to earn her certifications taught me that I need to do my own work and achieve greatness.

    As a freshman I liked to sneak out and do things my parents did not approve of. I thought I was good at it but eventually I found out the hard way they were on to my schemes the entire time. Being grounded and in trouble for months on end helped me to realize there was no reason to be doing the things I was doing.

    A new marriage
    At first I saw my mom remarrying as a step back in my future but I soon realized it pushed me forward. After gaining 9 step-siblings I learned how to share my things mroe effectively. Not only was I given the gift of sharing I was given the gift of many friendships I will have for the rest of my life.
  • Sophomore Grades

    Sophomore year of high school a few of my grades dropped severely. This drop in grades helped me to see the importance of grades and going to college.
  • Totalling my car

    When I totalled my car I was shown a very important lesson of being careful. Before my accident I didn't realize the importance of safe driving. On the road I used to not worry about what was going on around me, but now I take my safety and the safety of others into high consideration on the roads.

    Saving Zeus
    One day at school a friend and I saved a stray cat that now lives with me. By saving Zeus I believe that I show more sympathy and am more loving.
  • Friend's DUI

    A close friend of mine was recently in a bad situation with his DUI. Through his actions and punishments I can see how the smallest decisions can create chaos in someone's life.
