    First Craving

    It’s late at night, and all of the sudden you crave something really unhealthy. Keep in mind, you’re not actually hungry. Also, you specifically want some healthy instead of something more nutritious.

    Eat the Snack

    You head downstairs to get get a slice of cold pizza. You don’t even bother to heat it up, in case the microwave will wake up someone else. You take a bite, and immediately feel replenished. You are happy with your decision and continue enjoying your night.

    First Sense of Guilt

    You finished eating your piece of pizza. You start regretting your decision. You kind of feel guilty for eating something really unhealthy, especially since it was unnecessary.

    Awareness

    You wish you were more aware and had more awareness in the situation (pg 10). You tell yourself that next time you’ll consider all sides and perspectives.

    Domino Effect

    Now that you gave in once, you start doing it more and more. You get into a habit of just grabbing a unhealthy snack every night, when you’re still not even hungry. This is known as the domino effect(pg 8). You have now gotten yourself in a extremely unhealthy routine(pg 10).
