Kyanna's Life

  • Birth

I was born a 90's baby into a loving family. In my younger years, I spent my time mostly reading, playing outside, or learning to help my mom with her daycare she ran back then. As a young adult now, I still continue to read and spend my time working, cleaning, or on Netflix.

    Brother's Birth
When my brother was born, I couldn't be more excited. At home, we're always taking care of our dogs or watching movies or talking to our parents. As we have our differences at times, we still protect each other and stay close.
  • First Trip to Salome

    First Trip to Salome
When I was 7, my grandparents took me on my first trip to Salome (few people know it's a small city on the outskirts of Arizona often referred to as "The Country" by me). It was a four hour drive but worth it. I had fun out there flying the kite my Nana bought me, playing with their dogs & tools, and helping them feed their cows. It was a valued experience because each time I went out there I learned something new regarding independence.
  • Learned to Swim

    Learned to Swim
Me as a child, I loved to go swimming but I couldn't go too far. I didn't completely learn how to swim until I was nine. Being sixteen now, I still enjoy swimming during the summer with friends and family.

    Started Wearing Glasses
I always struggled with squinting in my younger years and never told my parents. When I entered sixth grade it became a problem so my mom scheduled an eye exam. I was happy that they gave me a prescription and I've been wearing bifocals for five years now.

    Made Cheer in 7th Grade
I've always been the quiet type or shy person so it was a surprise that I actually made the cheer team. Something about middle school changed me. When I was in elementary school, I was in the orchestra and every concert we had I was terrified to go on stage but got through many wonderful performances. Unfortunately, I discontinued my cheerleading interests in high school due to fear of big audiences.
  • Great Grandmother Passed Away

    Great Grandmother Passed Away
When my grandmother passed away, it was probably one of the worst days of my life. My great Nana was a person I loved so much because of her character, she was kind, loving and an honest woman. She always taught me to surround myself with positive people and strive for the best. Though, she may be gone, I always think about her every day.
  • First Trip to California

    First Trip to California
My grandmother lived in California for most of her life so when she passed that where the funeral was held. Having this trip wasn't exactly "fun" because of the devastating circumstances but it will always be remembered as a valued experience. It was my first time ever leaving the state of Arizona, so I was looking on the brighter side of things.
  • First Dance Concert

    First Dance Concert
When I was Sophomore attending Tempe High School, I was in the Junior Company dance class and had my first concert. It was one of the best days in my life because I over came my fears of being onstage. It reminded me of being a cheerleader in middle school and the excitement of performing in front of a crowd.
  • First Car Accident

    First Car Accident
Now a month ago, I had my first car accident. It was a terrifying experience and luckily I survived. In the car I was in, we we T-Boned by an SUV while making a turn. I'm slowly recovering and eventually I'll be fine again.
