Sisters birth
This is the day my sister Emily was born. This has shaped out of the single child life and into the realm of no return. There was a perverse incentive to this, because i didn't know she wouldn't stop crying...and she still hasn't stopped -
Strart of Kindergarden
I started Kindergarden in August 2001. This event started my earliest learnings, covering reading, math, and writing. Unforchantly, i did not pay much attention, which turned out to be a negitive incentive when my parents started punishing me to get me pay attention in school -
Ninjustsu classes
I started Ninjutsu classes in september of 2007 and stayed with it for 2 years. Ninjutsu is far different from karate, because they tought the art of a ninja. Sword fighting, stealth, creativity, and it was a lot of fun. This tought me how to handle a sword, both fake and real, and tought me to respect what can hurt a person, like a gun or a blade. These classes were very expensive and were a explicit cost on my mom. -
Bar Mitzvah
I got my Bar Mitzvah in July of 2009. I became a man in the eys of the jewish faith and this shaped me into a more responsible person because it was a lot of work to read the torah. Although i don't consider myself jewish, or any religion, i do not regret going through with the complicated process. A great positive incentive to my Bar Mitzvah was how much money i got at the end of it all. -
Iron Maiden Concert
In August of 2011, i saw Iron Maiden for the first time, which was also my first real concert. It was one of the best things i've seen. This shaped me into who i am today because since seeing this concert, i've seen many other concerts, usually once a month.
This is the best band ever. Even though that is a normative statement, i'd like to think of it as a Positive statement -
Start of drum lessons
I got my first drumset in September 2011, and started drum lessons a month later. I am now a full on drummer, always thinking about drumming, and usually air drumming my way through school. I am considering going into college for music right now. A sunk cost to drumming is the fact that i blow through drum sticks every week. -
Met my inspiration
I saw Testament in Febuary 2013, and after the concert got to meet their drummer Gene Hoglan, who is arguably one of the best drummers of all time. This shaped me because just seeing him live improved my technique, and talking to him afterwards was just icing on the cake. Gene Hoglans drumming ability is very rare. -
Road trip
My mom, sister, and I went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. The event shaped me because i had no idea how big the Grand Canyon was, and it made me feel much smaller in life. This vacation was my opportunity cost, because i wanted to go to New Jersey to see my family. -
Start of 12th Grade
I have started my last year of highschool in August 2013. This event shaped me because it gave me implicit cost of knowledge, wchich i can use anywhere i want.
