  • Life was Normal

    Living my normal life in my hometown in Poland.

  • The holocaust started

    I tried to hide but I was captured and taken to Auschwitz.

  • I was given the job as a Uniform Washer

  • Things began moving at a steady pace

    Everything settled down and I was used to doing what I had to do everyday.

  • People were being tortured and killed

    Even though the Nazis avoided me due to my important role, many others around me were starved and killed.

  • Years passed

    Years passed of doing the same thing everyday

  • I heard rumors about what was going to happen to all Jews in a few years

    I didn't believe it but I heard every Jew was going to be brutally murdered in a few years time.

  • Massacres

    Lot's of Jews were being killed by getting beaten for making very small gentle mistakes.

  • 1945

    The gas chambers were used to kill all Jews except for me and my fellow washers. We were released.

  • I snuck back to my city and left Poland for good

    After being released I went back to my city, got what was still standing in the vacated city and left Poland for good. Jews that stood were supposed to be captured but I managed.
