    I am John MacDonald in Ireland,I worked for a miner. I was digging a hole when I saw a Diamond rock sticking out of the soil. Right then and right there I pictured a better life. My friends told me a place called America where a lot of Irish people go to for a better life. My family died of fever and I am very poor. Poverty is the last thing on my mind. Immedietly I took my dads 3 gold coins that were passed on for memory. Sooner or later I was on a boat heading for the Freedom land,America.

    When I arrived in America I had a few things to accomplish. I had to find job to get money to feed myself. next I needed to sell my diamond and my three gold coins. Lastly I needed to find a place to live in. But first in mind, I had to find a job.

    I soon found a job unloading ships.When I found a job unloading ships I was finding very little payment.
    My boss was mean and unhelpful; My fingers are cramped and soar by unloading heavy objects from ship to ship.

    Finally sold my gold coins and diamond. I then
    Sold it to a rich family who was fascinated with the coins and the rock and finally I got 1,200 dollars. A rich Bostonian family finally agreed to buy my gold and they thanked me for the hard work.

    I Finally quit my job and moved on to being an investor.

    I had a much easier life as an investor and got paid a lot more. I Sold 103 houses in a year and I was lucky to have such a good job of were I came from. I didn't even know that that little diamond and three coins worth that much.

    Before I became an investor, I lived in the cold streets of Boston. Now I found an apartment not far from my job. Right now life couldn't get any better for me.

    Later I gatherd enough money to move west. I loved my job and my life here in Boston, but My dad always wanted me to work in a farm someday and I promised him that I will if I had the chance. And I do have the chance. I want to do what my father wanted. So later I was on the train heading to the west all for my father.

    When I got to north east Texas I had a bad fever. Farming was hard and it reminded me of life in Ireland when I was mining. I also had bad back pain and soar hands.

    Later I was happy were I was as a farmer. I had a lot of friends and a good boss. I have finally lived the life my father wanted me to live. The move to america made my life what I wanted it to be.
