    We are reintroduced to Sam, Grace, and Isabel, along with a newcomer, Cole, who is one of the three wolves Beck brought back in the last book. Cole used to be part of the famous band NARKOTIKA but left willingly. Later, after making chicken parmesan, Sam tells Grace about how he saw Cole shift into wolf form.

  • Chapter 11-20

    For Sam's birthday, Grace pays for five hours of studio time so he can record some songs. A couple hours later, Grace feels sick and cries out in the middle of the night and her parents rush into her room, noticing that Sam is in her bed too. Grace gets grounded and is not allowed to see Sam. Later, Sam sort of shocks Cole into quiet.

    Grace realizes that she is going to turn into a wolf, so she heads out into the forest so she can change. She is joined by six wolves of the pack but after hours, Grace never changes, Later, Sam and Grace plan to go to the studio, even though Grace is grounded.

    Sam and Grace go to the studio, where Sam records some potentially famous songs. Later, Isabel finds Cole out and takes him back to Beck's house. At the end of chapter 40, Grace packs up her things and decides to run away to be with Sam.

    Grace runs away to stay with Sam in Beck's house. However, during the night, she starts coughing up blood intensly, so Grace is taken to the hospital. At the hospital, Grace still cannot stop coughing up blood and Lewis, Grace's dad, punches Sam.

  • Chapter 51-54

    Cole comes up with a plan to save Grace. He injects her with a vial of his wolf DNA so she will stop dying and change. Before she changes, Cole escapes out the window with her. Sam is left covered in blood to deal with the adults.
