Sewing Machine
In 1790, an English inventor named Thomas Saint invented the sewing machine. Saint never advertised it right away so some say that Josef Madersperger began developed the first sewing machine in 1807. He presented the first working machine in 1814. The sewing machine lets you sew clothes that need it. this allows you to just use a uick machine instead of a thread and needle. This changed society because people no longer need to use a thread and needle, they could easily use the sewing machine. -
Cotton Gin
Eli Whitney invented the Cotton Gin on June 20, 1793 in the United States. He invented this for the purpose of making harvesting much easier. This machine allowed a laborer to seperate the cotton from the seed with little effort. This changed society by creating a new and improved system for picking cotton without using much effort. -
Telelgraph
In 1794, Claude Chappe invented the telegraph in Britain and the United States. This invention was invented to transport messages quickly. This is needed to people don't have to skeep sending a horse which takes a lot longer. This changed society by being able to send messages from one place to another within a short amount of time. -
Typewriter
The typewriter was invented in 1867 by Christopher Sholes, Carlos Glidden, and Samuel Soule. The typewriter was a keyboard-operated machine that ,ade writting letters much easier. This made it easier for everyone who usually wrote their letters, because this machine made it so much less complex. This changed society because instead of writting letters for hours, people could just get on their typewriter and quickly type a letter. -
Lightbulb
In 1879, Thomas Jefferson invented the lightbulb. The lightbulb was invented so rooms could have light insted of waiting for daylight or using candles. This changed society hugely because now we dont have to use candles for lights or sunlight. we can easily just flip a switch and we have light right there for us.
