    The Spinng Jenny was invented by James Hargreaves, a english carpenter and weaver. It was a hand operated machine that reduced the amount of work needed to make yarn, speeding of the yarn making process. The spinning jenny helped make clothes alot faster and less work.
  • Spinning Frame

    Spinning Frame
    Richard Arkwright invented the spinning frame in 1768, it produced stronger thread for yarn and increased production of textiles in factories. It was also known as the "water frame" because it could be ran by water. It reduced the amount of human labor required and increased the spindle count.

    The Cotton Gin was invented by Eli Whitney, which became very popular in the south. The Cotton Gin was a simple invention that pulled out the seeds from the cotton balls. Because cotton was easy to grow but difficult to clean, with the help of Cotton Gin it made cotton become the number one cash crop in the south.

    The reaper was invented by Cyrus Hall McCormick in 1831, it was horse-drawn and used to cut small grain crops. With the reaper it replaced the manual labor of cutting crops scythes and sickles, cutting down wheat more quickly and efficiently. With the reaper, grain production dramatically increased in the US.

    The phonograph was invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1877, it recorded and reproduced sound. It also allowed people to listen to all types of music and was an easier way to communicate.

    Light Bulb
    The light bulb was invented by Thomas Edison in 1879. He searched for light-bulb filament that would glow for a long time without burning up, thus finding a carbon filament that stayed lit for 15 hours. With the invention of the light bulb it allowed the US to work at night, increasing quality and productivity.
