  • Spinning Jenny

    The spinning Jenny was invented in 1764 by James Hargreaves. The spinning jenny was invented in England. This product was very helpful because it produce much more cotton then they could in the past. Also it produced a much higher quality of yarn. It also made many spinners become un employed.
  • Cotton Gin

    Eli Whitney invented cotton gin in august of 1793 in South America. This machine enabled a laborer to seperate cotton from the seeds easily.This invention had an impact on the textile industry. This invention enabled them to produce more cotton in one day than they would in a weeks time. It was important because cotton was a big trading item and they could get much more of it now that they have cotton gins. The United States became a big part in global cotton production.
  • Sewing Machine

    In 1846 the sewing machine was invented in 1846 by Elias Howe. It was in Britan where it was invited. the sewing machine was used for making clothing. It created many new styles of clothing and also required less workers. It was very important because more clothing was made faster.
  • Typewriter

    The typewriter was invented in 1867 by Christopher Latham Sholes, Samuel W. Soulé, and Carlos Glidden. It was invented in Miluakee, Wisconsin. The typewriter was a form of printing press, that was used to make books and newspapers. This was used to help communication, so that everyone knew what was going on.
