    The Age of Enlightenment was a cultural movement that started in the 17 century, and went on until the 18th. I this movement, people started adding value to reason, individualism, instead on doing tradition. The goal of this was to create a "new" society, which oppsed intolerance and superstition (basically the Catholic Church).

    The Industrial Revolution is the transition that people had to newer and better manufacturing processes for preoduction. The changes in this period were making machines instead of handy work, better chemical manuevering and water efficiency as well as steam power. It is a really important part of history, sincemany things we use today were influenced by that turning point.

    This event was an upheaval between the 13 American colonies and the British Empire, where the Americans wanted liberty, so starting in 1765, they started refusing taxes (taxation without represantation). One thing led to another and the Boston Tea Party happened. The British sent troops to fight an re-gain control, but to no avail because they lost in 1783.

    The French Revolution is a time of political upheaval and radicl sociality in France from 1789 to 1799. This event is what defines modern France because of the decline of powerful monarchies and the corrupt churches, as well as democracy being introduced.

    This event, also known as "The Race for Africa" or "Partition of Africa" because it caused many sparks between European countries, because everybody wanted part of Africa. One solution that was tried was the Berlin Conference, which was supposed to regulate European colonization and trade in Africa.

    Paris Peace Conference
    The Paris Peace Conference was a meeting of the allied victors in Paris, France. The purpose of the conference was to set rules and terms with the defeated Central Powers, after the armistices a year before it. The major shot callers were "The Big Four" which met informally about 145 times, but the major decisions were mad in the United Nations, including the Treaty of Versailles.
