    The Cottage Industry was the production of goods done on a very small scale. Goods such as wool were produced in homes and then later put up for sale. This impacted society because people took this method and put it on a larger scale. This was the idea people took to make factories.

    In 1712, the early steam engine was invented by Englishman Thomas Newcomen. He invented this coal-powered steam engine to pump water from the mines. This changed society because as time went on, people made better version of the steam engine to make it more efficient. This also impacted society because the steam engine lead to people making different types of machines.

    In 1741, Stephen Hales invented the ventilator. Because of Stephen inventing the ventilator, it reduced the number of airborne diseases. This impacted society because at the time, there were a lot of diseases and we didn't need anymore. This also impacted society now because we have better ventilators that are more efficient.

    During the Industrial Revolution, there was a demand for coal due to the steam engines and iron. Because of that demand, this led to a mass production of coal being made. This impacted society because this led to the improvements of coal factories and how coal was transported. This also led to the invention of railroads.

    During the industrial revolution, railroads became very popular. Railroads were made to help move products from one place to another in a short amount of time. This led to the trains that we have today all over the world. Because of the early railroads, today we have bullet trains and other sorts of trains that can move at a very high speed.

    During the Industrial Revolution factory owners were becoming wealthy while many workers were living in poverty. This led to socialism. Many people were poor and they believed that the community should own and manage property and natural resources rather than individuals. This impacted society because in some places, this reduced the disparity in wealth in the ranks and classes. The people were also able to make better use of the resources.

    During the Industrial Revolution, the internal combustion engine was made. This led to the invention of automobiles. In 1886, Carl Benz began the first commercial production of motor vehicles with internal combustion engines. It also helped in labor. This impacted society in two ways. The first way is that over time, motor vehicles became more and more advanced. They second way is that it helped free men from the hardest manual labor.

    The national child labor committee was made during the Industrial revolution to help end child labor. They believed that children should be in school learning rather than working in a factory every day with little pay. This impacted society because many factory owners were using children as workers because they knew they didn't have to pay them as much. This changed society today because now we have an age limit on when you can start working and a limit of hours you can work before you're 18.

    During the Industrial Revolution there were many products that were being made daily. Henry Ford invented the assembly line which sped up the production of goods being manufactured. This impacted society because it allowed for more goods to be made in a short amount of time. This changed society because today we have assembly lines that are hi-tech, which allow us to mass produce goods within a short amount of time.

This changed society because it allowed people to afford food because of how cheap it was. Overall it helped the living for many people.

    The Industrial Revolution is considered one of the most significant events in civilized history for a bunch of reasons. The main reason being that we changed the economy. It changed the economy because before the Industrial Revolution, everything was based around agriculture. The Industrial Revolution took agriculture and changed it into an industry full of manufacturing. Because of the Industrial Revolution, it's the reason why we have all of the machines and factories we have today.
