    In 1793 Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin. This invention led to a cotton boom in the south. Because the cotton gin made it easier to remove the seeds out of short staple cotton, the planters needed more slaves to pick the cotton to put into the gin. Since the demand foe slaves were high the price of slaves doubled leading to an econimic boom.

    In 1793 Samuel Slater created the textile machine. He stole the idea from a English inventor Richard Arckwright.

    in 1830 Peter Cooper invented the locomotive. The locomotinve increased speed of transportation and travel, Led to an economic boom, and increased westrard expansion. Raced a horse to see if the locomotive was the fastest way of transportation.

    in 1831 Cyrus McCormi inventis the Havisting Machine Reaper. This increased wheat production because it could be cut quickly and effectively and it was the beginnings of the advertising market. Made wheat easier to harvest.
