    James Watt
    James Watt was a Scottish engineer that was born in 1736. He went on to create the steam engine, which was originally intended to pump water out of mines, but later was used for many things including steam engine trains and factory machines. He died in 1819.

    Utilitarianism is the construct of an action that is judged whether or not it is right or fair to the majority. Some philosiphers that are famous for this are John Stuart Mill, Peter Singer, and Jeremy Bentham. The first person to have this idea or theory is the Greek philosopher Epicurus.

    Made in 1793 the Cotton Gin was made by a man named Eli Whitney. It was made to speed up the process in how cotton was picked. One of its functions was to pick the seeds out of the cotton which reduced the time and man power used to pick cotton.

    Karl Marx was born in 1818. He studied things like law and philosophy. What he is most known for is his writing of the communist manifesto, which would go on to create a type of government called communism which was the mane type of government for Russia during the 1900's. He died in 1883.

    A political theory made by Karl Marx in this book the communist manifesto. The idea of communism is all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. This was the mane form of government in soviet Russia during the 1900's

    A construct that shows up in Karl Marx communist manifesto, it is a specific type of economy. What it states is that the economy should be run locally and not from a government stand point. An example of a government that has socialism is Portugal.

    What it basically is, is microorganisms known as pathogens or "germs" can lead to disease. This was a great wake up for may people because before many modern thoughts life wasn't very clean. The person who thought of this theory was Louis Pasteur.
