    Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin in 1798. This revolutionized the cotton industry by making it more efficient. It also led to the cotton boom and increased the needs for slavery in the south.
  • Interchangeable Parts

    Eli Whitney came up with the idea of interchangeable parts in 1798. This made mahines easier to assemble and to repair. It also was cheaper so it allowed for the machine industry to profit more.

    Robert Fulton created the first full sized steamboat in America in 1807. This allowed good to be moved more easily and increased the rate of trade and profit.
  • The Locomotive

    John Stevens invented the first locomotive in america in 1815. This increased the speed of transportation and travel and increased westward expansion. Those two combined created an economic boom.
  • The Harvesting Machine Reaper

    Cyrus McCormick created the Harvesting Machine Reaper in 1831. This inreased wheat production because it cut quickly and effectively. It also started the advertising market.

    Samuel F. B. Morse created morse code in 1832. The code made communication easier.
