    Thomas Newcomen invented the steam engine and increased transportation. The boiler would go under pressure and the heat would convert into work.

    John Lombe invented the silk weaver. The silk weaver is apart of the textile industry. It massed produced clothes and made them cheaper than by hand. It was a circular hand-powered throwing machine.

    John Kay invented the flying Shuttle in 1733. The thread was weaved through it too and it had produced goods faster than by hand. Also increased the speed of weaving and it was in high demands for yarn. This invention was was apart of the textile industry.

    Thomas Telford built the Menai bridge. It is a distance of 580 feet. It was the first important modern bridge.The bridge was made of 2,000 tons of iron. It helped people traveled to diifferent places faster so they wouldnt have to go in the water all they would have to do is go across the bridge.

    *Children age 9-16 had to work at least 16 hours per a day in the factory.
    * The younger children would have to go into the machine and change the thread and repair breaks.
    * The factories had to give the children under 13 at least two hours of education daily.
    *The government passed a law called the Factory Act to improve working conditions for the children in the Factory working. The law made it where there could not be children under the age of nine years old to work in the factories.
