Whitney thought the cotton gin would reduce the need for slaves but they drastically needed more slaves to be able to get more cotton at the time. Helped them be able to process cotton faster than the regular way.

    Interchangeable parts were also invented by Eli Whitney. The parts gave more people around the world a chance to repair their equipment more efficiently at the time. Giving people more than one part to help fix the whole product. Gave the people a chance to replace simple parts instead of replacing the whole product.

    The steamboat was invented by Robert Fulton. The steamboat was a good source for transportation across rivers or any source of water. It was another of way of getting around other than by horse.

    President Jefferson actually signed the act to establish the national road. The national road would connect Cumberland, Maryland to the Ohio River. In 1811 the first contract was awarded and the first 11 miles of the road was built. It acted as another way for trading and transportation.

    The erie canal never said anything about an inventor. It did say that after digging for 425 miles Governor Clinton finally opened it up. Once Clinton left some type of communication got out to New York to tell about the historic occasion.
