  • Year 1857

    The year 1857 starts.
  • Scnoys Rebell Against the British

    The Scnoys (Indian soldiers that supportes) rebelled againt the british because the grease of their rifles was coming from pork and fat.
  • Year 1858

    India is under British rule. There was also a new term to use when callind the British rule and that term was Raj. Another thing that was a huge thing in this era of the Indian life was racism. There was a lot of hate and no trust at all between the Indians and Britsh.
  • Year 1885

    The Year 1885 Starts
  • The Indian National Congress Founded.

    In this day, the Indian National Congress in founded in India. This congress later on proposed reforms in economics.
  • Year 1906

    The Year 1906 starts. Also the Muslim League is also created. The objective of this organization was to ccreate and expand more civil rights for the muslims in India.
  • Year 1918

    The Year 1918 starts. The World War just recentley ended. Promises that the British proposed about traeting Indians better and have better equality in India was not accomplished. Radical Indians then led little violent revolts against the British.
  • Year 1919

    The Year 1919 starts. Great Britain was getting mad because of the behavior and revolts that the Indians were doing, therfore they created the Rowlatt Acts which was a law that allowed the British to imprison enyone who acted disobiedently.
  • Armistar Massacre

    This is the day that the Armistar Massacre happened. About 10,000 Indians died this day to the hands of British soldiers. Tha Protest was about the Rowlatt Acts to be specific.
  • Year 1920

    The Year 1920 Begun. The Indian National Congress reacts to the violent events by the English and suggests that the Indians react to everything the British say in a peaceful and obedient way. This meant India was going to fight for Independence in an unviolent and "peaceful" way.
  • Year 1930

    The Year 1930 Begins. The British law states that they have prohibited that Indians buy their salt from other places other than the British Salts. Later on, Ghandi guides protests against this law. This also caused that Ghandi and his supporters started to produce their own salt.
  • Year 1935

    In these years the Indians & Muslims were allowed to have a local government with fair democratic elections through the Government of India Act. though the Indians still were not able to achieve Independence just yet.
  • Year 1947

    The British had a lot of expenses because of the Second World War. This caused England to give India up. A Partitition was created to see who would rule after the British left the country of India up. Muslims were going to live in the castern part of the country, this later on went to be called Pakistan.
  • Year 1948

    Nathuran Godse assasinated Ghandi because he and his group believed that Ghandi was prefering Muslims in Delhi.
