    Sepoys were forts used for training Indian soldiers. These soldiers were led by British officials. East India Company allied with other emperors and rulers that neeeded help from their naval and military Sepoys.

    Sepoys rose up to take down British officials. Emperors, maharajs, and peasants helped the uprising as well because of lost land and the presense of Britain. British put down the revolt using 10,000 troops.
