  • Grandmother passed away from lung cancer

    I was only 5 years old. She was such a beautiful person inside and out, and I love and miss her more everyday.

  • Attending church for the first time

    When I was younger, I had a bestfriend whose father was a pastor. The first time I went to church with them, I was not religious at all. But I saw several women, men and children uniting through god, and showing their love, and i believe it opened my eyes

  • First time losing 20 pounds

    I have always been on the heavier side, and in 2011 I took it upon myself to start losing weight. I started the 30 day shred and lost 20 pounds in a month. It significantly increased my confidence and I have since continued trying to get into shape

  • My cousin moved to wyoming

    We used to be attached at the hip, and I always absolutely loved spending time with her. It is very hard to have any family move away, and now I only see her about once a year.

  • Attended Special Olympics

    A friend invited me to go to the special olympics last year. I have seen kids get bullied, and going to this event made me realize how sweet kids are. Kids who do not deserve it one bit, are pushed around everyday

  • My brothers graduation

    Seeing my brother graduate made me realize how fast time goes by. It made me want to strive harder to succeed in school like he did. Because college is already right around the corner.

  • Started my first job

    I applied and was accepted at my first job 4 months ago. It helps me increase my drive to work, and I have met amazing people who help me make the right choices.

  • Bestfriend moved away to North Carolina

    My friend Amanda always steered me in the right direction, and she is one of the best friends I have ever had. She helped shape me to who I am today

  • My brother got hit by a car

    My brother was going by my work on a bike ride, and when he was crossing the street he got hit by a truck. He was not hurt badly, but the thought of losing him all in one moment really made me cherish his presence. And life all around, you never know when you will lose someone
