The meeting at Lucknow marked the reunion of the moderate and radical wings of the Congress.     Chauri Chaura Incident
    On this day, police fired at the Indian people who were agitated in favor of the Noncooperation Movement. The people rebelled against the police and burnt down the police station. This resulted in 22 policemen dying. It took place at Chauri Chaura in Gorakhpur District of the United Province. On this day, Gandhi withdrew the Noncooperation Movement.
