    Sudan gained its independence from Great Britain in 1956. After independence people began to rebel against northern rule

    Countries that were colonized were devastated. Congo became independent in1960, the government was not fair. As a result Joseph Mobutu was put in power.

    They were a small country divided into two ethnic groups. The minority Tutsi and majority Hutu. Before Rwanda became a Belgium colony the Tutsi ruled the Hutu
  • Arab Spring

    One of the worst outcomes of colonialism was it left countries with weak governments that often became dictatorships. People in Tunisia began to agitate for more democratic government.
