  • Shop closes in Berlin.

Because I have yet to pay my landlord for my shop. I have been kicked out and left on the street but with the clothes on my back, my family heirloom, and my savings of $50 worth of euros. After days of wondering about selling my posessions for food, I have decided to buy a ticket to America for a new life.
  • Off to America

After firing my employees I had purchased a ticket to Ellis Island. To celebrate my decision I had visited the local tavern and treated myself to a drink. However, I had to leave immediately when I saw out of the corner of my eye an emloyee I had fired not an hour ago. He was drunk, so I figured he would be looking for a fight. The next day a riot started in the area due to the increase of money to buy loaves of bread, lucky for me I was already packing to board the ship to America.
  • Arrival in America

We have sighted the statue of Liberty and the giant complex of Ellis Island. It is a sight to see, all the images I have seen of the statue do not compare to the sheer glory of the actual thing. I plan to rent a room to use as my "base of operations" in search of a ploace to set up shop. I decided to bring along my glass smith, Jeremy, Promising him a large paycheck will hopefully hold him to his promise of working for me.
  • Finally starting business.

FINALLY after years of earning nickels and dimes at a time through small favors and manual labor, I have enough monry to own my own building and sell merchandise.Jeremy left me to start his own business, after me wishing him the best. I have hired a new glass smith named Xavier to do that work now. I have issued monocles to br crafted and put on display to hopefully lurebin some customers. In the meantime I shall furnish the shop!
  • Expanding West

An idea has struck me, to guarantee my company's success, why not place an establishment in the western territories? Small villages would support us, and profits would be unbelievable! I will start the journey immediately, with a mansion to be built while I am travelling. I shall leave Jeremy in charge while I am gone, I head out now.
  • Progress...

To celebrate 25 years of hard earned money, I am decorating the whole block with banners modeled after the American flag. Earl and Co. Monacles has become one of the best selling stores in Boston. We practically own half the city, and we have enough money to last a lifetime. Jeremy has returned due to all the success of our company, and monocles have become quiet the trend. With banks overflowing, and customers happy, I couldn't ask for more.
  • Retirement

I am set for life. I have turned the company over to Jeremy, who now runs the place. I have retired and live comfortably in my own mansion in solitude out in the west. Money flows from Boston to Nash like a river in a mountain. My success overwhelms me.
