Almost there
November 24, 1881 Angel island. I arrived on Angel island today and they say that i won't get through this place fast it could take up to a year since i'm chinese, but i'm willing to bide my time and wait for a chance to get to the land of the free. -
Christmas?
December 24th, 1881 California. I came into the state of california today i was taken inside by a kind gentleman who owned a tenement. He told me it was christmas so i asked what was christmas and he told me that it was a time when all men and women were treated fairly and as equals and then he said he would me stay in the inn tonight for free i then thanked him kindly and went up to my room. -
A job and a place to stay
January 1st, 1882 pier 15. I was walking around looking for work when the kind gentleman bumped into me and i asked him do how a job i could do and he said yes and told me that this would pay my stay, food, and 4 a month in a personal jar for clothes and other essentials i galdy agreed to the offer and got a rod and reel and started my job as a fishermen. -

Fishing open season
April 17th, 1883 the bay. The bay has now become overun with fishermen wanting to get food and money. Now it's true competition because everyone is coming to my dock and nobody even cares to ask. -
Mugged
December 12th, 1887 aide street. Today i was mugged of the 12 dollars i had on me at the time. i just can't believe that it happened to me and not one of those aristocrats. -
Setteling down
April 27th, 1893 the pier. Today i caught a record breaking fish and i met a woman on pier and i went to dinner with her at a fancy restraunt and i'm marring her tomorrow i can't wait because after we get married we are gonna move to the country -
End of fishing
July 4th, 1908 the house on the prarie. This is now our house and we have been happily married for 10 years and now we will retire and live happily here forever
