Arriving at Ellis Island and Descrimination
When I arrived at Elis island today, I passed the American Citizen test, allowing me to be a legal American Citizen. I left Ireland a few months ago because the potatos that i've been growing are now contaminated, I had no food to eat. Then, I heard about the Homestead Act from a newspaper and decided to go to America to receive my land.. Unfortunalty, when I arrived at the pier of New York, some jerks started throwing bottles, and started shouting insults at me, just because I was Irish. -

Difficulty finding Job
It seems like no-one will hire the irish, including me. Everytime I apply for a job, I am told that irish aren't welcome there. So far my life's a misery, I wonder how long it will take until I have a home, and i'm not hungry every night. I see other irish men, wemen, and children in the streets with me, so I guess we all have the same problem. -
Meeting Old Friend
After almost two years of walking throught the streets looking for spare food, I finally saw a ray of light thorugh this dark hole in my life, my good and rich friend Austin J. Parker was walking on the opposite sidewalk as me. I caught up with him and we talked, after a while I convinced him to take me into his house, and for the first time in almost two years, I was warm, dry, and my stomach was full. -
Rancher Job
Today I was looking through the daily newspaper and I saw no good jobs, however, when Austin walked into the room, he had a great idea; he suggested that I become a rancher.. I then started to save up money to head out West to become a rancher. When job availiability came upon me, it meant I could make my own living, and I could move out of Austin's house for good. -
Heading out West
Today is the day that I have enough money to head out west and start my career as a rancher. When I moved out of Austin's house, it meant I wouldn't have the comfort of a home for a while, and I wouldn't have the wonderful company that Austin provided me with. -
Coyote Thieves
When I woke from my sulmber this morning, I discovered that coyotes had broken into my camp and eaten the food I had brought along with me. When the coyotes stole my food, it causes me to starve, witch led me to less energy, and fatigue wasn't far behind. -
The "killer" ending
When I was walking along the trail, I stepped on what looked like a salmon with a large chunk out of it. I reahced down and picked up the salmon, when I heard a low growl behind me. I turned to see a large male grizzly bear standing about five feet away from me, ready to pounce. I tried to run away, however the bear was faster and on me. After it sunk it's teeth into my neck, I felt hot red blood running down my body, then as soon as it started, everything went went red, then black.
