I had to move to America by now. My mother and father died in the fire of our own home and farm land. I was left with no job and no money so i was obligated to go to America. THe trip there through Ellis Island was tough, but i knew it was what my parents would have watned me to do -

Found a real job after several small jobs that were not accurate. I started to work at a Sweat shop sweing clothes for minimum wage. -

I found my time mining during the California Gold Rush but ended up not striking anything but rocks -
Homestead Act
I needed decent land for farming and the homestead act helped me gain land as long as I maintained it for 5 years -
My new home
I finally got land from the Homestead Act but i couldn't build a house on my own. Luckly for me, a nice man offered to help me build my house so I took him up on his offer -
New Life, New Start
The man who helped build my house I ended up marrying and we had a pleasant farm
