    My Birthday
This is my first day alive. This is very likely how my story begins. My name given name is Zhong Lo or "Loyal Gatherer". I was born in Shanghai, China. I was born into a poor family of farmers. I eventualy went to America in search of a job to get. Now I am creating this to send to my family so they know what happened to me here.
  • Angel Island

    Angel Island
This is the day I finally reached the United States of America. Me and several others were brought to a building on an island called "Angel Island". The place was crowded and they didn't seem to be cleaning the place every day. We had to go through some sort of medical examination. But almost everyone made through anyways. We were than taking to the real America. Now we could all start new adventures.
  • Mining Job

    Mining Job
I was finally able to find a job and get American money. I got a job in a cave looking for ores for the Americans to use. But the one problem I had was that I could not afford housing. I searched for a while but found nothing. I ended up creating a small tent like shelter in the woods. It wasn't what I was hoping for but it will be good enough. I will have to work to get to better luxuries.
  • All Is Not Well

    All Is Not Well
Some of my fellow American miners have not been kind to me lately. At the mining area several of them have shouted and mocked me. It was made me sad even though I didn't fully understand them. Today I had was hit by one of the miners. I apparrently did something wrong but I had know idea what it was. But I got my pay and went home. When I got to y tent I found it smashed and my money stolen. I didn't know who did this but I guess it was the other miners.
  • Mine Explosion

    Mine Explosion
There had been an "accident" at work today. Several of my Chinese friends had been killed in it. I was merely scratched and shocked. I am not sure what went wrong, everything was in perfect order. Someone must have set this up. No longer trusting the Americans here I got my monet and fled California.
  • New Life

    New Life
I now live far away from the horrible mining site where I worked before. I am again a farmer just like in my home land. But this time I am growing many more crops and other crops than rice. I have been making a lot ore money now and the people around here are a lot nicer. I live in an area called the Great Plains, but I am not sure of which state. I hope my family will find out I am save and my money makes it to them. I am lucky my life was not ruined in this country.
