How to create an SolidWorks Assembly

  • Open up a new SolidWorks Drawing

    Once SolidWorks opens, select the "New" button in the top right. Select "Part".

    Create the two parts that you want to make. In this case it is a water bottle.
  • Assemble the Parts

    In the toolbar menu you will choose the option "Assembly". There is two options for mate types: concentric & coincident. Choose "Coincident". Select the parts you want to assemble.
