Go to your computer and navigate to something that you'd like a picture of. It can be the WHOLE screen or just one part of the screen.
-
Click the "Print Screen" key. It's on the upper right corner of your keyboard. That's it! You took a screenshot and the picture of your screen is sitting on your Invisible Clipboard.
-
What do you want to do with it? If you want to drop it onto a Word or Google document just open the Document and do a "right click." The screenshot will appear on your document.
-
Do you need just PART of the screenshot? Open Microsoft Paint. To get to Paint, go to the Start Button...All Programs...Accessories...Paint.
-
When Paint opens, click the "Paste" button. It's on the upper left side of the toolbar. Your entire screenshot will appear.
-
To cut just the piece you want...use the "Select" button and draw a box around the part you want. Then right-click and choose "Crop."
-
Now you should see ONLY the smaller part of the screenshot that you wanted.
-
Now choose File...Save As...jpg. Save your Picture.
-
Your jpg will be in your Picture Folder.
