How Shing Chi came to be

  • Denise(my sister)

Who I look up to as she is one of the most intelligent people I know. I ask her for advice in art as she is a great artist. I used to believe in almost everything she said so it impacted what I know and believe in as well.

    Mother

She has always taught me how to live. To learn skills in responsibility, respect, and other things. It influenced my mannerisms and thinking quite a bit.
  • helper

My helper left and a new helper came. This may be a long time ago but I remember that it impacted me a lot as a child.
  • Phantom of the Opera

In my childhood I have watched and listened to phantom of the opera over a million times, played by my siblings. I have basically memorised all the lyrics. Even now I still listen to the musical as it's songs are truly amazing. It taught me to appreciate artistic works.
  • Enter ICS

    Enter ICS
I entered ICS by drawing in front of the principal. Back then I did not know english so I only relied on some artistic talent. Even while graduating from kindergarten, I still could not speak English but the teachers recommended me and this is why I am still in ICS. (That photo is my child drawing). A Christian community is a good environment to grow up so I am grateful I am in ICS.
  • Mama mia

My sister loved to listen to songs by Abba. I unconsciously learned all the lyrics as a child.
  • Accidentally get a worker fired

It changed me as I realised that actions sometime brings horrible consequences. It impacted me as a child as I decided to think through my actions a lot.

    Table tennis

I played table tennis for almost eight years and I have played in numerous competitions, winning a few of them. I have definitely played over 10000 hours of table tennis so I am a master. It taught me sportsmanship and how to handle pressure during competitions.

Strict old school table tennis teacher

For these 2 years, I have been dreading going to his class every week as he did not treat me well in his teaching. However, I was afraid to tell my parents. I remember wishing 2012's "end of the world" really happened. I am not sure how it impacted me but my teachers back then said I lost all the energy I used to have. I am not sure if I am impacted by it now.
  • Cayden Capps

My best friend in 3rd grade. At this time I realized what having a best friend truly meant.
  • The xx(band)

I listened to this band for 4 years. It helps my brain relax as their music is very soothing. I used to listen to it a lot whenever I am stressed. I remember singing their songs a lot.
  • Bryan Lo

We were best friends in 4th grade. We played a lot of "hoopball" together and we were together at all times. He was the shortest guy in the grade.
  • Meditation

I guess in my head I wanted to be better, so I tried meditating in hope I'll find a new state of mind. I still retain the ability to meditate. and I do it sometimes to destress.
  • Start working out

When I started getting gains I started to notice that I am impacting the people around me. Soon enough I influenced many people to make exercise a lifestyle:)). I made a discord server for these people to communicate to each other about their training. I learn that if I have the abilities to be a role model in any subject it can influence others to start doing things I do.
  • Jordan Peterson

In 8th grade I think I wanted to be better at one thing so I wanted to increase my knowledge. I binged jordan peterson's psychological analysts and nietzche's writings. I had multiple existential crisis and even became agnostic. It impacted me for almost 2 years.
  • Art class

I have always been told I have talent in art but I never took an art class until 8th grade. That summer, I gained a lot of knowledge and I now have the ability to flex to people my art. I would say I pride myself in my artistic abilities.
  • Vincents Matvejev

My mindset was completely happy go lucky and every day was the same, hanging out with him 24/7 and constantly receiving dopamine. But after he left I started taking things seriously and I noticed that I have been missing out on some brain cells. I think his leaving unexpectedly improved my character in general and I took things more seriously.
  • Track and field

After I realised I had a bit of talent in sprinting, I started having fun. I started to do my own training and binge watched many fitness youtube channels on how to jump higher. I learned things such as french contrast, triphasic training, etc. I think I have gained enough knowledge to train another person. I realized what having passion truly means.
  • David Bowie

I started listening to David bowie a years ago and I have been hooked to his music. I find myself singing his songs all the time and it turned my music taste into 70s rock.
  • Became a "Christian"

I became a christian due to a depressing event. I have been agnostic for the longest time until I had a "God moment". I started to be more interested in the bible and I want to answer more of my doubts in order to solidify my relationship with God.
