    The fall of Rome/ Start of the Middle Ages
    The fall of Rome. Rome ruled most of Europe so this left alot of confusion for many including the rulers as they tried to take power. This marked the beginning of the Middle ages.
    Rome fell for many reason and these include:
    Christianity, Barbarians, taxes increased, slaves were unhappy with the way they were treated, important people were assasinated and the government went corrupt. This was the most significant event as The fall of Rome began the Middle Ages.

    Buddhism introduced into Japan

    Buddhism introduced into Japan
    In 522 Buddhism was introduced into Japan. Buddhism was originally introduced into China through the Silk Road (a trading route that travels from China through to the Mediterranean Sea) by some Indian merchants. This religion then spread through the rest of Asia, including Japan.

    Battle of the Hastings
    William the Conqueror defeated the last Anglo-Saxon king Harold II and rewarded his followers with parcels of land. These "manors" lead to the creation of the feudal system. This feudal system conssisted of 4 social classes. At the top was the monarchs who were like kings or queens of the land, 2nd were the Nobles and the higher ranked they were the more land they owned, 3rd were the knights who were the protectors and the fighters of the lands and last were the peasants

    Domesday (Doomsday) book
    The domesday book is a very detailed survey written by William the Conqueror (the king of England) as well as his subjects. The book had alot of information about the lands aswell as taxes that were payed and owed. He wrote this book a few years after he defeated king Harold II in the battle of the hastings.

    First Crusade
    There were 4 crusades (wars) throughout Medieval times and the first one bagan when Europe wanted to reclaim their land that was taken over by the Turks. Unfortunately alot of lives were lost due to this war in Jerusalem. Throughout the years there were more crusades however some were more successful than others.

    Black Death Begins in Europe

    Black Death Begins in Europe
    The Black Death is a Plague that spread across majority of the world via the fleas form rats. This was a horrific disease that killed over 25 million people throughout the medieval times! It came to Europe through trading ships that stopped in Messina. Once the people of Messina realized that the ships brought a leathal disease with them they sent them away immediately. This disease was so contagious that it was too late by the time the ships set sail elsewhere.
