    -Galileo Galilei: Italian astronomer, physicist, engineer, philosopher, and mathematician
    -Johannes Kepler: German mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer. -Outcomes: Copernican Revolution; the Galilean Revolution, the Keplerian Revolution, the Newtonian Revolution and the Newtonian Synthesis.

    This was a rebellion against unfair british government and laws The main characters were: the 13 colonies, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington Outcome:The seven year war (1756-1763),
    Spanish war against algiers (1775-1783)
    The French war against England (1778-1779)
  • French Revolution

    -Napoleon Bonaparte: A general in the French army and leader of the 1799 coup that overthrew the directory
    -Louis XVI: The French king from 1774 to 1792 who was deposed during the French Revolution
    -Marie Antoniette: The wife of King Louis XVI and the primary symbol of the French monarchy’s extravagance and excess. -Fall of the Bastille- begging of the french revolution
    -The Rise of Napoleon- Napoleon established
    -Dissolution of the National Assembly- the National Assembly was dissolved
  • Enlightenment

    This was an ideology concentrated in god, reason, nature and humanity.

    Francis Bacon: ‘Father of empiricism’ for his work of the scientific method.
    Baruch Spinoza: Influential rationalist, saw the underlying unity in the universe
    John Locke: Leading philosopher and political theorist Outcome: Philosophers had new ideas about government and power, and eventually the separation of powers was suggested and used.
    Ideas about social improvement and liberty started spreading
  • Napoleonic Empire

    Napoleonic Empire
    December 2, 1804,Napoleon crowns himself emperor and launches expansion campaigns
    -Alexander I - Emperor of Russia from 1801 to 1825, he allied with Napoleon by the Treaty of Tilsit
    -Castlereagh - British delegate to the Congress of Vienna.
    -Gebhard Blucher - Prussian field marshal who helped the British army
    -Napoleon try to conquer Spain but the people raised in arms against France. France was deafeated by Russia because de french army was sorprised by a strategy of the russian army.
