History of Me

  • Born

Fun fact: this day was my older brothers first birthday.
  • Hurricane Katrina hit

In my elementary and middle school days I would learn about the effects that this Hurricane had on America. I learned a lot about this kind of weather and how America prepares for it.
  • Barack Obama elected into office

I knew little about politics until this race, I watched this campaign faithfully and talked about it with my family. Since I am apart of the black community I was affected greatly. This was another good time in my life, it also gave me knowledge.
  • Mother got married

This was an exciting event in my life, my mom got married soon after my youngest brother was born. It was a very happy time for our family.
  • My first surgery

This was a big deal for me because of what kind of surgery it was, I had a hernia in my pelvic area. My life went a little slow at that point but my family helped me feel good about it since the region of my body was so intimate. I was also treated like a princess and got a lot of gifts. :)
  • Donald Trump elected into office

Looking at the votes from that election on the tv and wondering why this was going to be our new president kind of frustrated me but obviously I have lived with it. Now I cannot believe how much time has passed. Seeing our world deteriorate during this presidency is sad to me.
  • Started Tennis

Starting tennis was very easy and I made a lot of new friends. During tennis I actually met one of my now best friends. I am glad that I have that new skill, since I know how to play I can do it when I have free time. The amount of things I have learned about that sport makes me very happy. Other family members I have can play with me too.
  • First Prom

My first prom was exciting, I went as a freshman only because I went to help student council but I ended up being apart of the prom kids and I had a very good time. I've gone to all of my high school proms.
  • Transferred to NTA

My sophomore year I transferred from Wayne to New Tech, I knew it was going to be hard but I faced every challenge. I can admit that my first academic year was a fail but I am building from that. I am determined to come up in my junior year, New Tech is the school for me. The environment is nice and healthy for me in my opinion.
  • Got a job at Kroger

I was very excited to work at Kroger, it's a family tradition to work there at least once in our lives. My grandma helped me on the process of getting interviewed and such. My whole life I have been spoiled but it is a whole other thing to have my own money and do what I want with it. I was apart of the company before I started working because I would volunteer with certain events. It was also a step to adulthood which is taken very seriously.
  • Discovered my passion

My passion is children, all children. I have always loved kids, and loved being around kids no matter how good or bad they are. I just think kids are the sweetest and most innocent people on earth and can be impacted so much in their early stages. I was so happy when I figured out what I wanted to do with my life and figured out what I really truly loved. I cannot wait to see where my passion takes me in life.
  • Hosted my first birthday party

My sweet 16! I did it all by myself, got a bowling lane and told a lot of my friends to come celebrate with me. It was my most successful independent project I ever pulled off, I had my own money to do it and it was very easy. I had a marvelous time with my close friends and family that whole night. Definitely an event to remember.
