The Story of Kimberly

  • First chapter

This is the day, where I first came into this world. The day when I was born. September 5, 2003 is the day when my life really began, and the day my parents became parents of three children instead of two, and my siblings gained a younger sister. I was born at San Joaquin Hospital. I was told that I was a C section.
  • Second Chapter

Today is my first day of school. Preschool was a important event, because it is the first year of school. That was when I started learning new things I hadn't known. It was the day that started my school education.
  • Third Chapter

On this day I went to 2nd grade. I will never forget that school year, when I really became an outgoing person. That was the year I made a lot of new friends and enemies. I got into a lot of trouble there with my teacher and principle. I went to an after school program that was a lot of fun. I also sprained my left arm from trying the big kids' monkey bars.
  • Forth Chapter

This is the day that changed my life. I don't know how my life would be if we hadn't moved to Bakersfield. I had lived in the same, small town for a while but then we moved to a new town that wasn't as small. It was hard at first, but I'm so happy now. I met some of my favorite people here. I made a lot of new friends, and I sorta like it here.
  • Fifth Chapter

Today was my first day at a new school I would grow to love. During half of my 4th grade year we moved again, and I had to go to a new school again. On the first day I had already met my best friend to be for the next few years. I went to that school from 4th grade to 8th grade. I graduated middle school there.Going to that school and meeting my friends helped made a bit of who I am today.
  • Sixth Chapter

I met my best friend Gissel. This day is very important to me, because Gissel has shaped so much of who I am today. I don't know how I would be if I hadn't met her. She's been my best friend since the summer after 4th grade until today. We've gone to so many places together, and know everything about each other. With her I can just be myself, because she's like family.
  • Seventh Chapter

This day is one that I'll never forget. I had been to many funerals already as a kid, but they were people I never really knew or was close to. This was the first and only funeral so far where I was close to the person. It was my uncle that I had known for a long time, he passed away in the summer of my 7th grade year. It still feels weird to this day to not see him when I visit the ranch.
  • Eighth Chapter

This day wasn't just a big deal to me, but to my whole family. My brother was graduating from University. He is one of the first people from our family, (including both of my dad's and mom's side) to graduate from a college. We were all very proud of him, because he worked so hard for it. He really inspired me to want to graduate from college with a really high GPA.
  • Ninth chapter

Graduating 8th grade was another big event in my life. After 8th grade comes high school. When I graduated from 8th grade that was also the last day that I saw my friends that I knew since 6th grade. It was a happy and sad day.
  • Tenth Chapter

Starting high school was another big step in my life. I went to a high school where I didn't know anyone. Even so freshman year was a great and unforgettable year for me.
